New Engine:

• Redesigned cylinder head with reduced compression ratio for more stable combustion
• Revised exhaust valve timing for increased engine response at low rpm and improved traction from mid to high rpm
• Redesigned exhaust valve governor - designed to complement the exhaust valve timing change and open the exhaust valves more gradually for a smoother, broader powerband
• New crankshaft with asymmetrical flywheel balance similar to RM250 - provides improved rear wheel traction control, plus increased crankshaft inertia for better throttle response
• New Mikuni TMX38SS carburetor with power jet and throttle position sensor -TPS is linked to the ignition system to adjust timing to suit engine load for more controllable engine power characteristics
